The Best of the Best Television Programmes Market (BOBTV)
The Best of the Best Television Programmes Market (BOBTV) was first held in 2002 with a vision to provide a common access point for good quality Nigerian Television programmes. This first event was attended by 47 Television stations, several independent producers, Advertising agencies, and multinational companies present. Following the success of this event, the BOBTV 2005 concept has been expanded to provide a legitimate presentation platform for authentic African movies and television programmes. Since BOBTV 2002, Nigerian movies and TV Programmes have risen in profile, both locally and internationally. Nigerian television programmes have been ranked top viewing in Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, and Namibia to name a few. Nigerian movies and TV Programmes now drive a global economy of over $300 million dollars and have really just started growing. Nigerian Movies have become the most authentic and home grown expression of African Cinema. Nigeria is the third largest movie producing country in the world and have found a place in several film festivals.
